A BIG THANK YOU to all who supported the day and to all those who turned up and helped, to the bands who were all amazing (Untamed, Skeleton Crew, Damned Deceiver, The Steve Fulsham Band, Glass Onion, Revolver, The Charlie Buck Band, Katie and Mel and Old Nicks Brewers Band) and to all those who came down to jam including young Ellen, to Richard and Martin for their part on the BBQ, to Graham Fidling for donating and organising the Hog Roast, to Craig Cash for his creative talents in balloon sculpturing (did not know that you could do so much with balloons!), to Elizabeth and James for tirelessly selling the raffle tickets, to Colin for being prepared to patch anyone up if injured and for doing the security, to Victoria and to Matt for looking after the bands and their sound (absolutely brilliant job done as always), to Julian for taking loads of photos and a video, to Myron and James for glass collecting and to Tracey and Henry (who also doubled up on the bar – good bit of multi tasking!) for washing them, to Alexandra, Steve, Heather, Jessica and Amy for making sure that everyone was served with ‘refreshments’, to Alexandra, Elizabeth, Victoria, Colin, and Martin for preparing the yard and lugging all the equipment down to the stage area for set up, and of course not to forget the fabulous Mr Creature who organised the Old Nicks Brewers Band and who was on MC duties for the duration. Lastly, to all our neighbours and the residents of Horncastle for allowing the music to be played outside and making it such a wonderful day and event for the tenth year running even with the inclement weather this year, the overall monies raised was £726.24 which will be put in the Wish Upon A Star bottle on Wednesday evening by some of our regulars and will go towards our annual count up on Friday 30th October. A fantastic effort by all.
Thank you on behalf of Old Nicks Tavern and When you Wish Upon A Star.

On a personal note I would like to thank our new team of volunteers that rallied round to make the day go so well. After our last refurbishment that kept us closed for so long the staging of the Big Arvo was very much in doubt. We did not have the man power to continue, but then from the dark clouds came the ray of light which was some wonderful people that had made it all possible again. With their commitment and backing we are already planning Big Arvo11; these people refuse to let live music die. My deepest thanks to you all. Hope to see you all next year.
